"NEW SKETCHBOOK" |
I have always found it a rather daunting ordeal of having to start on a blank page, now take that and times it by how many fresh pages there are in a new Sketchbook.... Yeah it can be a rather nerve racking expierence. But it's never something you can't manage to get through, I mean "Sure, Yeah it's a sickening thought" but people seem to enjoy seeing the progress in a sketchbook. For example: I personally "HATE" my current and past work.... but I'm not going to stop just because I disapprove of it myself, it's one thing trying to impress some one else, it's another to be satisfied by your own work, and it's the most "Gut clinching, jump off a cliff, fall off a tree, breaking something valuable feeling" when you want to impress a business owner or a proffesional...... "eh-Hem" Anyways, I forgot what my point was.... Just try to bear the work of your past failures (a.k.a keep all your sketchbooks) and never be afraid to totally "SUCK" on your first page. "Why?": Cause progress can be slow, but if you work hard and continue to "suck" at... Well, keep trying. You will eventually look back on your old work and you might say something like "Wow, I was really terrible... I'm not that bad any more"...
